Dharma (“the app”), published by Tara Ventures, is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.
We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no login, no ads, and no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Your practice data — learning progress, streaks, points (Jñāna), diyas, and your preferences (language, narrator, reminders) — is stored only on your device using local storage. It never leaves your phone and is not transmitted to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app removes it.
To keep the app small and let us add new art, mantras, films and articles over time, the app downloads content (images, audio, and catalogs) from our content delivery network as you use it. These are ordinary, unauthenticated requests for public content. We do not attach any identifier to them, and we do not build a profile of you. Standard server logs (such as IP address) may be processed transiently by our hosting provider to deliver content, and are not used to identify you.
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. No notification data is sent to us.
The app contains devotional and educational content suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Content is served via Supabase (storage/CDN) and media may link out to YouTube for films. When you open a YouTube link, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies. We do not share any personal data with third parties because we do not collect any.
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change accordingly.
